A Way Back Home — a player board of Zura at night, its six constellation paths lit with crystals

A Way Back Home is the push-your-luck bag-building game by Morten Blaabjerg, Johannes Følsgaard and Lars Wagner Hansen, published by Agie Games in 2025 with art by Andrea Alemanno, for two to four players. The night sky over the desert of Zura has gone dark; each player lights the constellations on their own board with crystals drawn from a bag. This is the free browser version: play either side of the board against AI opponents, or with friends online through a room code.

Draw three, place one or two

Your bag holds five crystals of each of six colours and two wilds. On your turn you either draw three and place one or two of them — a colour on the first empty space of its own path, a wild on any path, never all three — or take a colour: every crystal of one colour from the shared pool back into your bag. What you do not place goes to the pool, where everyone else can take it.

Six paths, nine shared spaces

Every path starts on a star worth nothing, dips through minus spaces, reaches its 0 and only then climbs into the points. The black path peaks at 30 and then crosses the others; the blue path runs through the second spaces of the other five, so a crystal there counts for both. A path scores the value of its first empty space.

Call the end

Empty your bag with at least one path at its 0 and you may declare the end: everyone else gets one more turn, you get none. Declaring is optional, and it cannot be taken back. Side B plays Zura by day with a character tile that rewrites the take action until somebody reaches the building it is looking for.
